It has been a long time since I last saw Tom which was at a Georgia Tech meeting. We both graduated from SHS and GT and were in the same Sunday School class at Wesley. May God comfort you at this time.

Tom Davis is largely responsible for much of the positive trajectory of my life. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to go to his home and tell him this and other ways he influenced my life. He and Dotty were there when I was a raw seed, and the difference in growing into a weed or a flower was made when our paths crossed. I am thankful God allowed our paths to cross. One day, our path won't cross again....It will be one. One that we get to walk with the Savior in whose arms Tom now awaits the arrival of all of us who better for having him in our lives.

Dotty, you know how much your Tom meant to both Paul and me. We treasured the many years and memories we have shared. Paul especially loved their lunches when Tom would reminisce about Paul Sr. and the many fun things they woule recall. Tom was such a warm, kind man. Our family ties go back to the founding of the German Heritage Society where he and my father were co founders. They later enjoyed a business relationship where Tom was so very helpful. I became connected with Tom at Rotary, the Georgia Historical Society and at the German Heritage Society. Dear Mrs. Davis, Your great loss is shared by the many people Tom shepherded in life, I among them. As a new Rotarian years ago, from our shared lunch at the DeSoto to the last occasion I saw him, he offered his wisdom, circumspection and impeccable manner with such generosity. Women's role at that time was not nearly as large as it has become but Tom enthusiastically embraced diverse leadership and boosted my confidence. When I was elected the first female president of our Club, he anonymously (others spilled the beans) made me a Porter Pierpont Fellow, something I have never forgotten.
